Roc’s Nest Tavern, Emberglow Forest – Oh, pardon me, but after celebrating their victory in the seasonal hockey-style tournament at the Roc's Nest Tavern, our daring adventurers found themselves caught up in a few unexpected events, eh? I am so terribly sorry to say, but with Sonia leaving the crew, they were just discussing who should keep her Longsword from the lovely deep and the Potion of Giant Size - if you don't mind me asking - when the formidable pirate Cordelia "The Lioness" warned them that pirate hunters were on their way, so sorry! Deciding not to risk a bit of a scuffle, the group made a hasty exit from Goldenbank, taking on a mysterious new companion, Ace, for a small fee, eh?

Shipwreck and a Rather Unfortunate Welcome
As they sailed eastward, I am so incredibly sorry to report that Mad Matt's attention to the maple-infused beverage rather than the helm led the ship astray, crashing ashore near Emberglow Thicket. Very sorry about that, eh! Greeted by two shocked fishermen, Max and Florian, the crew was soon hailed as "Saviors" by the villagers who brought them to their home - if you wouldn't mind us saying - where a dire situation awaited. The village elder, Edouard, with his quite lovely accent, explained that an evil wizard had stolen their water well, leaving only a barren circle of magic, oh dear! In exchange for defeating the wizard and restoring the well, the villagers offered to repair the crew’s ship, adorn new sails with a flaming horse motif - how lovely! - and provide Max and Florian as rowers, eh?
A Stealthy Approach, If You Please
Determined, the adventurers journeyed through a stunning autumn forest - with all those beautiful maple-colored leaves, eh? - to reach the abandoned cathedral where the wizard resided. Sensing an ambush, Selah led the party across a river via stepping stones rather than the obvious bridge, approaching the cathedral unnoticed, if you don't mind. But their stealth was quite short-lived as Ace, attempting to sneak closer - pardon me! - accidentally alerted the wizard who retreated into the cathedral, summoning a towering Minotaur Skeleton and a legion of undead from the surrounding coffins, so sorry about that!
Fierce Combat with the Cathedral Guardian
Through Magic Missiles, flying javelins, and arrows, Ace deftly dashed to impale skeletons on his rapier - so sorry about that, Mr. Skeleton! Mad Matt ran through the fray and hid between wooden stakes, if it's not too much trouble. Selah, meanwhile, sneaked around the outside of the cathedral and climbed onto the roof, from where she had the high ground over the Minotaur staunchly guarding the entrance. She jumped down onto him, using gravity to shatter his left arm with her nunchaku - my apologies for the impact! Mad Matt changed plans and dashed into a nearby crate; he quickly pierced holes for his/his eyes and his gun through the side facing the enemy and began to shoot, eh? As Selah clung onto the Minotaur's horns, Deva used her entangling magic to sprout vines below the Minotaur and a nearby skeleton - so sorry about the tripping hazard! Although they failed to restrain the monsters, Tiyana managed to light the vines on fire, roasting the monsters, terribly sorry! The Minotaur wanted to escape the blaze and wound up a vicious rend with his Greataxe. Ace and Selah made sure to take evasive action, but Mad Matt trapped a nearby skeleton within his crate and tried to take cover behind its bones, if you don't mind me saying. Deva knew that a few flimsy ribs wouldn't stop a Greataxe and used her Thorn Whip to pull the crate with Mad Matt and the skeleton away from the Minotaur - sorry about the sudden movement! When the Minotaur's Greataxe rended the air, only a skeleton remained in the affected area and was promptly sliced in half, oh dear. Repeated pummeling from Selah and six Magic Missiles from Tiyana weakened the Minotaur so that a well-placed rapier strike from Ace freed the monster from its undeath - so sorry about that, big guy! Mad Matt shed a single tear as his crate-mate skeleton and all remaining stragglers were finished off, ending the fight, eh?
As the dust settled, Tiyana prepared to dispel the magic sealing the cathedral’s entrance. Who is the sinister wizard awaiting them inside? Can the adventurers overcome whatever dark magic lies ahead? Please stay tuned for the next thrilling chapter, if you wouldn't mind, eh!
