Turtle Islands Lars and Christine, North Inderøy Sea – The crew set sail once more, following rumors of enormous turtles between Eye Island and Arcachon, eh? Their research at Helberskon’s great library had revealed these rather chilly waters to be home to all manner of shelled beasts – including the fabled dragon turtle. With Tiyana’s volcanic powers strengthening her Fireballs (pardon the heat, if you don't mind!), they were ready for whatever lay ahead.

Turtle Taverns, Tattered Maps, and a Little Bit of a Secret, Eh?

A Tavern on a Turtle and a Map in a Keg
After days at sea, and it was getting a bit nippy, if I may say so, they spotted something rather bizarre: a floating tavern atop the shell of a massive turtle named Lars. Climbing aboard, they were met with the boisterous laughter of sailors, the clinking of tankards, and the lovely smell of sizzling bacon and perhaps a bit of syrup, eh? At the heart of it all stood Rupert Copperkettle, an imposing figure wielding a frying pan.
Rupert welcomed the crew with breakfast and beer, but as he poured the last keg - so sorry about that! - something unexpected surfaced – half of a tattered treasure map. Before they could examine it, a drunken voice cut through the revelry, pardon me.
Freeloader Fenna’s Challenge
A rowdy pirate woman named Fenna slammed her empty mug on the bar, demanding a refill. Rupert refused (so sorry, eh?). That’s when the crew noticed the other half of the map – haphazardly stuffed into Fenna’s sleeve.
Marina tried to trade for it, but Fenna had other ideas. She wanted a drinking contest with Selah. The first round ended in a bit of a disaster – one sip left Selah with tears in her eyes, which was quite upsetting, eh? Undeterred, Marina stepped in for a rematch, if that's alright.
As they toasted, Marina’s keg shattered in her hands, drenching her and Fenna in beer like a sudden spring thaw. Too drunk to care, Fenna handed over the map… as a napkin. Although there were major smudges - my apologies for the mess! - Rupert managed to piece together the general shape of the turtle island on the map, pointing them westward towards Christine, eh?
Navigational Blunders and Baldwin’s Island
Setting sail with Selah at the helm, the crew became embarrassingly lost (sorry about the detour!), even making an accidental stop back at Rupert’s tavern before finally finding Christine.
Aboard her shell, they were greeted by Baldwin Shieldley, a druid who had forsakin adventuring to care for Christine, which was very noble of him, eh? He showed them his magical garden, home to strange and powerful plants…
A Garden of Wonder
The crew showed him the map, explaining they needed a plant to purify the ink spill - so sorry about that smudge, eh? Baldwin led them through his gardens, revealing three fascinating plants:
- The Wisdom Lily – Enhances memory and reveals hidden truths.
- The Moon Dew Blossom – Glows at night and produces purifying water (perfect for a chilly night, eh?).
- The Sticky Spit Flower – …It was just very, very sticky. My apologies, that sounds quite unpleasant.
In a sticky mishap, Baldwin and Selah got sticky spit on their clothes, much to Marina’s amusement (though we felt quite bad for them, eh?).
As Baldwin cleaned up, he allowed Tiyana and Marina to explore the ruins. Together, they found Dragon's Breath herb, which produces a warm puff of smoke when squeezed, like a cozy campfire, eh?, as well as the Whisper Leaf, which whispers secrets in an unknown language when you put your ear to it. Marina was particularly interested in some blue-coloured fruit, which turned out to be ordinary blueberries! How lovely, eh?
After bursting out in laughter when touching some Giggle Root (sorry if they were being a bit loud), they finally found the Purifying Plum towards the North of the island, which produces a nectar that can remove blemishes off anything. They apply it to the map and the stains wash away! So much better, eh?
An Ancient Puzzle and a Secret Passage
With the map restored, the crew followed its cryptic instructions. After some trial and error - pardon our clumsiness - Marina held a golden mirror found on an altar at a specific angle, while Selah stood by the grand statue at the centre of the island and Tiyana next to the Wisdom Lily plant. Ethereal butterflies congregated on Tiyana, and when she stepped to the side, a beam of light was reflected off the mirror onto the statue and revealed a hidden staircase.
They cautiously made their way down and found a small pedestal holding a mysterious flask of amber liquid, which looked quite nice, eh?
Fenna’s Return and the Bottle’s True Nature
Before they could claim it, Fenna reappeared – and grabbed the flask! Oh dear, so sorry about that sudden grab!
Selah acted fast, striking her with pinpoint precision (we don't mean to be rude, but she really had to!). Fenna collapsed, dropping the bottle, which Tiyana caught just in time.
Fenna, now groggy, claimed the flask was her inheritance – a never-ending bottle of rum. But something didn’t add up, eh? Selah used Moon Dew Blossom water to instantly sober her, and the transformation was startling.
Fenna, lucid for the first time in weeks, admitted she had lied about her grandmother and was only drinking to escape her past. The crew sent her off in her rowboat, hoping she would find a new path - sorry to see her go, eh?
New Clues and the Next Adventure
Grateful for their help (if it wasn't too much trouble), Baldwin allowed them to take samples of the enchanted plants. As Marina giggled uncontrollably from the Giggle Root, the crew set sail once more, eager to uncover the next secret hidden among the turtle islands, eh?
