As Captain Mad Matt dashed through explosion clouds towards the docks, Rachel revealed herself on the roof of a nearby shop. "The Order of the Blue Moon will save the innocent people of the city from the fangs of capitalism!" she screamed, igniting another explosive barrel and demolishing half of a fabric shop. The air thickened with dust and debris as Kenzie, the eccentric tailor, and Isabell, a conscientious paladin, emerged from the ruins of Kenzie's shop. Vowing to defend their city, Kenzie launched a pair of glistening scissors attached to steel cords at Rachel but missed completely, while Rachel’s steadfast spirit also resisted Isabell's holy Command.

The Blind Girl's Final Act
Amid the chaos, the blind girl, with her last ounce of strength, hurled a vial of the mysterious pinkish-blue liquid at Lady Fawkes. Though a nearby guard shielded Fawkes from most of the explosion, the blind girl perished in the pink flames. Seizing the moment, Cecilie attempted to loot the girl's corpse but found only pocket change amidst the charred remains.

A Desperate Dash to the Ship
As more town guards flooded the scene, time became a precious commodity. The rest of the crew joined the Captain's mad dash for the ship, swinging at both revolutionaries and guards alike. Justíne, a stalwart guard of Lady Fawks, valiantly blocked the Captain's path to the ship, only to be knocked into the water by Selah. Her brother, Justìne, rushed to aid their employer, guiding the wounded businesswoman towards the ship. Mad Matt leaped onto the ship and threw the planks connecting it to the dock overboard, leaving both the guards and his own crew stranded. Demonstrating incredible agility, Selah climbed the side of the ship. Meanwhile, the hooded instigator who started the attack realised he was outnumbered, and fled across the rooftops, evading capture.

A Bloodied Waterfront
In a dramatic twist, Wilma, in wolf form, attacked Rachel but failed to knock her off balance. Rachel realised her one friend was dead and the other one barely escaped, so she declared that this was only the beginning of the assaults on the city's trading district before diving into the water, escaping the scene. Kenzie, frustrated by her missed attacks, attempted to assist the drowning Justíne by throwing her a steel rope to hold on to, but tragically slashed her throat with the attached scissors instead, killing her instantly.

The Tide Turns
Surrounded by foes, Cecilie pulled out her magic-imbued drumset, creating an ear-shattering racket that sent three enemies plunging into the water. As Mad Matt hoisted the sails and Selah raised the anchor, Sonia hammered pitons into the side of the ship to scale its side. Tiana fastened a rope to the railings using her Mage Hand instead, with wolf Wilma preparing for a daring leap. Cecilie, while escaping, swiped a guard's sapphire brooch but was struck down by Isabell's javelin. In a last-ditch effort, Tiana used her Mage Hand to secure a rope around Cecilie's arm, pulling her unconscious body off the docks. Lady Fawkes and Isabell could only watch helplessly as the ship set sail, Cecilie's limp form slamming against the ship's side.

Aftermath
As reinforcement guards swarmed the scene, they recovered the bodies of Justíne and three town guards. Justìne and Kenzie were rushed to the infirmary, while Lady Fawkes, slumped at the docks' end, seethed with rage, realising the loss of her trusted guards and ship. A guard captain assured citizens that the Moon Church would be searched thoroughly for other revolutionaries and that Port Elgin would not forget: “There is reasonable suspicion that the theft of the ship and the terrorist attacks are two separate events which just so happened to coincide today. However, we will investigate in all directions and uncover any possible connections.”

Port Elgin — The recent devastating attack on Port Elgin left the city reeling, but amid the chaos and heroics, not everyone emerged unscathed or triumphant. In an exclusive interview with The Fireball Gazette, one of the town guards, who requested to remain anonymous, shares his harrowing experience and the toll it has taken on him.

"I missed four out of four stabs with my lance and completely whiffed both my crossbow shots," the guard confided, visibly disheartened. "I couldn't believe my eyes when this draconic woman used the very crossbow bolts I had fired to climb up the ship. At that moment, I knew I had become more of a liability than an asset."

The guard described how his spirit shattered further when he was hurled through the air by an ear-shattering sound. "I didn't even bother to stand up anymore," he admitted. "When a woman tried to take my brooch, I just voluntarily surrendered it to her. It was as if I had given up completely."

Witnessing the deaths of his comrades only compounded his despair. "Seeing so many of my friends fall... it was too much. I realised that being a town guard is the wrong line of work for me."

Reflecting on his future, the guard revealed his decision to leave the town guard and return to his roots. "I think I'll go back to being a farmer," he said. "It’s honest work, and maybe I can find some peace there."
